“Seat comfort was excellent”
5 reviews Dijana Lingert (Germany)
✅ Trip Verified | Cabin crew very very nice, friendly and relaxed. Seat comfort was excellent. Unfortunately there was no meal in the economy class, but there was a bottle of water and chocolate.

“Flight was good and on time”
S Dale (Switzerland)
✅ Trip Verified | Seat 3A on the A220-300 has a surprisingly good leg room. Flight was good and on time. Flight Attendant friendly, skilled and at top level. Only negative point is the quantity of the food they serve. ZRH-BUD they should serve a hot meal or at least more food. But the quality of food is very good. The wines I did not try but usually Swiss is not known for higher quality wines in Business Class.

"Food selection was average"
3 reviews Morimo Mosai (United States)
Not Verified | We have flown the LAX-ZRH-LAX many times. This was our first try at Business Class at SWISS. Our experience in economy had been average and unfortunately the business class did not impress either! Seats are narrow and especially the couple's seat by the window has next to no working/storage area! Unless you spend the extra $300/seat for the "Throne" seats I think the remaining seats are just considerably below any major airline we have flown. The shoulder seat belt cuts right at your neck as even the FA admitted the issue! The "noise cancelling" headphones are JUST headphones it offered Zero noise cancelling quality. Food selection was average. As any major airline's business class the wine offering was adequate. The 2-2-1 and 2-1-2 seating arrangement is the most compacted and congested BC seating format we have experienced compared to other BC's we have flown (KLM, AF, BA , UA, AA and ITA). I will say however that SWISS is still the best choice to fly between US and Switzerland. Sharing some feedback with the FA's, they agreed that they can not wait for the A350's to replace these 777's as many people complain about the seats and other issues.

"made everyone feeling attended"
M Gyan (Myanmar)
✅ Trip Verified | The purser, Rui, and his crew on LX797 were fantastic. It’s rather full flight and relatively short trip (just a bit more than a hour flight) but they made everyone feeling attended and cared for.

“Swiss is a total disaster”
D Laurent (France)
✅ Trip Verified | Swiss is a total disaster. 5 mn before landing in London, the plane turns back to Geneva due to a technical failure. Upon disembarking, no one is present to guide the passengers towards alternative solutions. They simply dropped all the passengers in the C departure lounge. It turns out they booked us on - not even - the next flight to London, not even the same destination (City) but Heathrow, 5 and a half hours after the original departure time. It turns out there were several possibilities beforehand, with Swiss or other companies (requiring that we exit the lounge, God knows how). ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION ABOUT OUR RIGHTS (compensation, meal, go for another company…). Icing on the calendar: the newly booked flight is delayed by 40 minutes. This an utter disgrace.

“My hand luggage was refused”
R Radevan (Netherlands)
Not Verified | Be careful if you have an intercontinental flight with Swiss Air with a transfer in Zurich. I had a very bad experience with that. You book a flight online with a suitcase of 23 kg and hand luggage of 10 kg. Nothing special. It is also stated in your confirmation and on your ticket. Only if you change planes in Zurich does this 10 kg of hand luggage suddenly change to 8 kg. You are not allowed to take more with you. My hand luggage was refused. The ground staff was curt and very unfriendly. Customer service also does not respond to this remarkable action. Unprofessional! So you are expected to give away 2 kg of allowance when you arrive in Europe. Once but never again with Swiss Air.

“Still no explanation and no apology”
Peter Johnson (United Kingdom)
Not Verified | My wife and I regularly fly to Switzerland by SWISS. However, in February 2023 at Frankfurt, when the power was accidentally cut to Lufthansa systems, our problems seemed to start. The day it happened we were flying from LHR to GVA. When we tried to make the return journey, our booking had disappeared from the system. We had to pay for new seats to get home. My wife suffers from mild claustrophobia, so I always book and pay for specific seats near the front. Since then almost every booking has been changed, without notice, at least three or four times. Every time when I query, the same reason is given; “a plane change”. The problem with this is the type of plane does not change; the seat plan / format does not change, therefore our seats should not change? The airline has a seating policy, which basically says you can play for your seat but we will decide where you eventually sit. For example, on one flight I booked row 7; the system moved us to row 9 to 11 to 19. Same seat plan, no explanation, no apology. Twelve months later, the call centre staff are admitting they don’t know why the system is doing this and they have no control over it. Still no explanation and no apology.

“very friendly and welcoming”
2 reviews Atlas Adventured (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends this airline! Needing to get from Valencia, Spain to Kotor, Montenegro as a family of three with a toddler, we scoured the internet for flights that were within our budget, and would get us there on a schedule that was beneficial to us. After much research, we ended up booking tickets through Swiss Air. Booking the flight was quick and easy. Our first flight was from Valencia to Zurich, Switzerland on Swiss Air flight LX2143. After being able to spend a day in Zurich, we caught our next flight, on their sister airline, Edelweiss Air flight LX8414 from Zurich to Tivat, Montenegro. Both airlines were great, but Edelweiss Air was a much better experience, especially when traveling with children. Check in was smooth, as was boarding the plane. Everyone we encountered from the people at check in, to the crew on board, were all very friendly and welcoming. Great customer service! A little bit after take off they gave our daughter a cute drawstring backpack filled with goodies! An activity book, colored pencils, and a game! It was very unexpected and so thoughtful. It was a short flight but we were still offered drinks and given these delicious chocolate chip buns, and a piece of Swiss chocolate. We have flown on a lot of planes, and this was one of the best experiences we’ve had as a family. We will definitely be flying Edelweiss Air again!

"Not even a snack"
F Marham (Czech Republic)
✅ Trip Verified | New aircraft in both trips. A321 NEO and A220 which both are really good and comfortable. Everything was on time, cabin crew are really professional and polite. The only big disappointment is that meal service from Cairo to Zurich (4 hours) nothing was served. Not even a snack which I believe a huge mistake and they are not even aligned with the Lufthansa group -I flew Austrian earlier and they do provide meal service.

"Overall terrible airline"
E Morton (United Kingdom)
✅ Trip Verified | The extremely rude Swiss airline guy working at the Zurich ticket office 7 Jan morning said I must pay both for cabin luggage and an additional 90CHF ski bag fee to carry a single checked ski bag. This was incorrect. When trying to refund the unnecessary cabin bag fee (only the ski fee should apply) Swiss airline support hung up multiple times apparently they’re having system problems. Ground stuff were also disorganised, but cabin crew were friendly. Overall terrible airline to be avoided.
